Wang Chuqin Backs Lin Shidong: “An Undeniable Core Player with Unquestionable Strength — Lin’s Eye-Roll Says It All!”

On October 5, Beijing time, at the 2025 WTT China Grand Slam, Wang Chuqin and Lin Shidong claimed the men’s doubles championship — a well-deserved victory that also showcased the strong bond between the two players. After the match, Wang Chuqin couldn’t help but praise his younger teammate.

Earlier in the semifinals, Lin Shidong faced an unfortunate incident when a female spectator attempted to distract him during play. Showing maturity and leadership, Wang Chuqin comforted him with a gentle pat on the head and later stood up for him publicly:

Following their championship win, Lin expressed how their partnership has grown:

Wang echoed the sentiment, emphasizing teamwork and mentorship:

During the post-match interview, Wang once again made his stance clear:

Standing beside him, Lin playfully rolled his eyes twice — a light-hearted moment that drew laughter from the audience. It was a reflection of their close friendship: Wang acts like an older brother, guiding and protecting Lin, while Lin clearly trusts and respects him deeply.

Together, they’re not just winning titles — they’re building the next great chapter of Chinese table tennis.
